Asphalt driveway paving
Diamond Asphalt paves new asphalt driveways for homeowners across Tarrant County. We dig out, build a compacted stone base, and lay hot-mix asphalt made to handle Texas heat and shifting clay soil.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
What goes into a driveway that lasts.
Site Walk and Measurement
We check slope, drainage, soil, and access, then give you a clear written quote.
Excavation and Grading
The old surface and soft soil come out. We grade so water runs where it should.
Compacted Stone Base
Crushed stone laid and compacted in layers so your driveway does not sink or crack.
Drainage Built In
Pitch and edges set so water runs off your driveway, not under it.
Hot-Mix Asphalt
Fresh hot-mix laid at the right thickness and rolled tight for a smooth, dense finish.
Clean Edges and Tie-Ins
Neat edges and smooth transitions to your garage, walkways, and the street.
WHY DIAMOND ASPHALT
A new driveway is only as good as what is under it.
Anybody can roll out fresh blacktop. The difference shows up three summers later. We are a small family outfit, our name is on the truck, and we pave every driveway like it is going in at our own house.
Real base prep, never a pave-over
We dig out and build a compacted stone base. Laying new asphalt over a failing surface just hides the problem for a season or two.
Mixes picked for Texas heat
Fort Worth summers cook asphalt and our clay soil moves. We set the mix and thickness to handle both.
Honest quotes, no add-ons
The number on the estimate is the number on the invoice. No surprise line items after the machine is running.
We show up when we say we will
If we give you a day, we are in your driveway that morning. If something changes, you hear it from us first.

DRIVEWAY PAVING COST
What affects the price of a new driveway.
Every driveway is different, so we price each one after we see it in person. Here is what moves the number up or down, so the quote makes sense when you get it.
Size and shape
Square footage drives most of the cost. Long runs, curves, and turnaround pads add material and time.
What is there now
Tearing out old asphalt, concrete, or gravel adds removal and hauling. A bare lot costs less to start.
Base and soil work
Soft spots or poor drainage mean more digging and more stone. We find that at the estimate, not halfway through the job.
Thickness and access
Heavier vehicles call for a thicker mat. Tight access or a steep slope can change the equipment we bring.

FAQ
Asphalt driveway paving questions, answered.
Straight answers to what Fort Worth homeowners ask us most before they pave. Do not see yours? Ask when you call.
How much does a new asphalt driveway cost in Fort Worth?
It depends on the size of the driveway, what has to come out first, and how much base work the ground needs. We give you a free written estimate after we see it in person, and the number on the estimate is the number on the invoice.
How long does an asphalt driveway last?
A driveway built on a properly compacted base, with good drainage and regular sealcoating, typically lasts 15 to 20 years or more in North Texas. Skipping base prep is the most common reason driveways fail early.
How long does it take to pave a driveway?
Most residential driveways are dug out, based, and paved in one to two days. Larger driveways or heavy base repair can take longer. We confirm the schedule with you before we start.
When can I drive on my new asphalt driveway?
Give it at least three days before you drive or park on it, and longer in summer heat. For the first few weeks, avoid sharp turns in place, kickstands, jacks, and heavy trucks while the asphalt cures.
Is asphalt or concrete better for a Texas driveway?
Asphalt costs less up front, flexes better as clay soil moves, and is easier to repair. Concrete can last longer but costs more and tends to crack when the ground shifts. For most Fort Worth homeowners, asphalt is the better value.
Can you pave over my old driveway?
Sometimes. An overlay can work when the base underneath is solid. If the old surface is cracked through or sinking, paving over it just hides the problem, and a full driveway replacement is the right call. We will tell you which one you need at the estimate.
Do I need to sealcoat a new asphalt driveway?
Yes, just not right away. Let the new asphalt cure for 6 to 12 months, then sealcoat every 2 to 3 years to protect it from sun, water, and oil.
